Catching up

This May I fell and broke my wrist....my right wrist! So I more or less had a summer of wanting to do things and not able. I was out of work 10 weeks and incredibly bored. As soon as I got out of my splint I started making greeting cards......just creasing the folds hurt. Ouch. Now I am making some die cut outs and again Ouch! I use a Cuttlebug and some of the dies are hard to roll through. I just bought a bunch of new dies from the Sizzix online store, on sale. Wow, those prices are great! I wish I had a big shot or a big kick that accommodates bigger dies.

I'm back to work and enjoying that too! I hate it that most of my summer was wasted :(

New Life

Well I am more or less moved into my new house. Still have a few things to move as yet. I'm trying to arrange things, go through boxes and toss clutter. I plan to have some items on etsy plus a big yard sale this spring. When I can get my basement cleared of the excess, I'll be setting up my studio and I will be as happy as a clam!
I do love my new house.

Bargains

I stopped by the local Big Lots store today and scored a big bargain. They had beautiful rubber stamps and inks for $1 each. I bought all of the good ones. How can a card-maker pass that up! I haven't done any stamping on my cards because the stamps are expensive......and so is good ink or dye. So now I am looking forward to some stampin good fun tonight! My dining room table is my studio so it is a mess with flip flops and all those decorations for the flops. Also a bunch of scrapping papers and handmade paper, ribbon and all sorts of things that I find once I start moving things about.

The Etsy shop is doing great. As a new seller I feel it is good because I am getting about one sale each week. I would like to latch onto that ONE thing that would sell like hotcakes! I have ideas and will keep trying! I'll get it someday.  :-)

My Etsy Connection

I am having a lot of fun on Etsy. I haven't sold a lot of items...only 5, but it is fun indeed when a sale is made. It is more like another job than I ever expected. There is finding or making the items, taking pictures, cropping the pictures, writing the description, making a price and of course uploading the pics and finalizing the listing. It takes a lot of time when you are listing several things. I'm working on accessories now. I am embellishing flip flops, making them swap flops that the strap can be changed., and starting on hairbands and whatever else I can come up with. I feel like I have spend my whole vacation working. :-)
